Eat Healthy America | Eat Healthy America Recipes

Eat Healthy America. But what do you eat?

America today has surpassed every other nation as a land of healthy weight. Health teacher can tell you that maintaining weight is a matter of watching what you eat and exercise. But what happens if you do not know what you eat?

Monday, the FDA began two days to hear opinions on whether Aqua Bounty sell genetically engineered salmon for human consumption to be.
Atlantic salmon altered by the addition of Chinook salmon growth hormone. So they grew up in the fall twice as fast as natural salmon.

Fighting them is used for people who care for the potential impact of the unexpected.Allergic to shellfish can be severe, the patient's hospitalization to prevent death in the most extreme cases.
One concern is that genetically engineered fish can cause allergic larger than normal in those already affected.

The FDA allows the sale of genetically engineered crops.
This will be their first agreement to sell genetically engineered animals for human consumption.

Last night I saw "Supersize Me", a 2004 film about the dangers of fast food, and McDonald in particular, Morgan Spurlock.
For the film, Spurlock decides to eat nothing but McDonald's for a month. Physical health is detected by three doctors, nutritionists and personal trainers. They all estimate that one month of eating McDonald's food tends to cause weight gain and can raise cholesterol.

What happened surprised.
Within 20 days, Spurlock blood work like people who are not in the liver. He has a depressive illness, fatigue and chest. For 30 full days, they get more than 20 pounds - and then took more than nine months to get rid of the weight when he later returned to a healthy diet.

The point of the film, Spurlock is that fast food is bad for your health and probably the main cause of our nation's weight problem.
Most people do not think about the nutritional value of foods they eat. One of Spurlock experiments showed that even though McDonald does not have the nutrition information leaflets, brochures and information they are not available in many locations. Lack of good information, as often happens in poor neighborhoods.

Now the health teacher may tell you that some of the salmon is much more healthy than, say, a Big Mac, and for the most part they are correct.
But what about the nutritional value of genetically modified salmon, and what about your right to know what's in the food and make the right decision?

It appears that the FDA has decided not genetically modified salmon are significantly different from the natural salmon.
Thus they do not need to tell you that what you buy (or eat) genetically designed. In other words, you do not have a choice in this matter because you do not have the data needed for decision making.

The food industry is big business and some new innovations, not all healthy, who supply our food.
Organizations like the FDA, which should be to inform and protect us, often placing themselves in an inclined plane malnutrition and potentially dangerous products allows it to slip with the name of the financial constraints and advantages.

Maintain your health by making smart choices about what you eat.
